Street Party Saturday 9th September
These are the photos from the party held in Baronsfield Road (my street)
All the families paid for tickets, which paid for the meet, beer, wine, entertainment, then the odd side of the street provided salads and nibbles, and the even, desserts
The rest of the streets contributions
The winner of the childrens fancy dress competition (there is actually a nine year old boy in there!)
The street, at the beginning of the night
professor Frumbles, the children's entertainer
Tiff and a guy she worked with (I think) at her farewell party the same night as the street party. This being the reason I do not have a photo of the street and the end of the night. She has gone trekking around Europe for a few weeks before coming back here for a few weeks.
Tiff is the 'Chicken Fillets' girl I met on the Normandy trip. We have kept in contact and have become great friends. She is from Newcastle (Aust) and will be home whilst I am next year. She was the travel agent who booked my flight home, and has also booked the two of us (and her friend Anita) into one of the lounges in Heathrow for three hours before we fly out (she is going to South America, and Anita is going home to NZ - I think!?) We all fly out at about the same time, so the idea of three hours of free booze with some great gals as my last hoorah in London for a while sounded like a great idea!
