Day at London Zoo
Yesterday Annemarie and I joined Selina, Milo and Jonnah for a day at the Zoo. Overpriced, half under construction, sweltering heat and humidity, did I mentioned over priced?
But we still made the best of it, and also found the worlds most destructive animals; Milo, Annemarie and Jonnah!
On the way home I also found the best street in Stockwell! So had to stop and take a photo.

Return Journey
A date has been set, ticket paid for, I am now broke (but a fairly decent tax return on its way) and now I am starting to think about what to bring home, what to send home before I get there, what to leave here for when I return, and what is just junk I have collected (hoarded) whilst I have been here.
I am leaving just as winter will be staring here, and summer starting there, so wont have to leave one extreme to go into the other!
So now a few dates to add to calenders:
Saturday 18th November 2006 - Welcome home party
Saturday 12th May 2007 - 30th Birthday Party
Saturday 26th May 2007 - Farewell Party
I have obviously not checked these dates with anyone to check suitability, but at least the 12th May one should be written in pen for now, with the other two penciled in, just in case someone important is having a christening, or other such important event.
Otherwise, get ready for me....

Sorted
Looks like I sorted out the problem about posting comments. For some reason my blogger has turned English, rather than the German I used to first set it up. Lets not complain too loudly, and hope this good luck continues!
So get commenting people!
So get commenting people!
Summer Is Here
This is me surviving the heat. I remember laughing at Danny and Amy when I first arrived here when they would complain about the heat and it was only 28degrees. Well today was 33 and tomorrow is going to be 35. and I am not looking forward to it!
Actually I am surviving the heat just fine, the humidity does not help much , but doing ok.
This last week has been very busy between life, loves, and whatever else goes into that phrase.
Work has been work, busy, flat out, the usual. Christina and Max have gone to Grenoble, and whilst we are no longer going to go next week (we are staying here to reorganise the house to make it more livable) we are flat out with cleaning and reorganising.
Had Selina's farewell last weekend, as well as the Toast Festival which I won tickets for, so a huge weekend was had by all, and a great tan is now sported by yours truely.
For those that dont know the Toast Festival was a celebration of Australian wine, food and culture. Famous faces of the likes of Paul Kelly, Roy and HG, Jonothan Coleman (whom I thought was dead), David Campese, Dave Dobbyn, Bill Granger, and a few of the guys from Neighbours, as well as some other famous chef people whom I had never heard of. I went to a beginers Wine tasting seminar, and who knew you should actually do the whole swirling of the glass bit that I thought was just a pretentious thing!
I know a lot of you are looking at the site and are unable to write comments as you are not bloggers yourself, and I am trying to work that one out, as I remember being able to post on Matts when he had one, but write me some emails and let me know how all is going.
I will also have a date of return for you by the end of the week, will be booking tickets tomorrow.
Love you all...

Rob's Tower of Terror
This is Rob of the above mentioned Tower, pictured below...
This is a drinking game I was introduced to by some of the Royal Guards from Edinburgh Castle. I only remember two of thier names, Sarah, and Rob, the creator.
It works as this.
You will need the following:
4 shots, of anything you fancy, or don't fancy,
A half of Cider - or a middy of beer
5 coasters
One die
It then goes as follows,
Create the tower by stacking the shots onto the beer/cider, using the coasters in between each layer.
Roll the die around the group, and whoever gets a 6 must take whatever is at the top of the tower. A coaster, and you got lucky, a shot, and you are advised to just drink it, without smelling or tasting first, just in case. If however you are unlucky enough to get the beer/cider, then you have to down it before someone in the group rolls a 6, or you have to pay for the next tower.
Now that can be a good and a bad thing. It does mean you get to choose the shots, but beware, most of the people who purchase the rotton ones, usually end up having to drink them themselves, so keep that in mind.
Unfortunately it is not a good game if you are looking for one to last all night, as it is not possible to play for too many rounds! But if you just want a pick me up at the begining or the end of the night, this is the one for you.
That said, I got to play for about 2 hours and did not have to buy a single round! Naturally.

My Plans for the next 12 months - as they stand now...
Ok, so at the moment these are the plans for the future for me.
I will finish my Aromatherpay Diploma, a TEFL course and learna little more german before I come home.
I go to Grenoble in the last week of July, then back here for a wedding the next week, then to Germany for the last 3 weeks of August.
Home about late October early November (still nothing booked in that respect).
Whist there I will obtain the following:
Heavy Veichle Licence,
Some sort of typing/computer recognition from TAFE,
Some more research/study into Bush Flower Remedies,
A fabulous dress for Kayo's wedding,
Some great memories with the family (now extended) and all my friends,
A more serious tan than I seem to be able to get here with this weak sun, and
Some awesome christmas presents
I am then planning on coming back here, maybe end of Mayish - again nothing booked as of yet.
I am also going to find my prince charming in that time and of course be single handedly responsible for world peace.
